Aarhus Pride is a celebration of diversity in Denmark’s second-largest city, also known as the “City of Smiles”. The purpose of Aarhus Pride is to contribute to the respect and acceptance of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people.
By arranging a parade through central Aarhus and a festival at Officerspladsen we want to make the LGBT culture visible in our city. The organizers hope that many individuals, rainbow families, associations, groups, organizations, companies etc. wish to participate and turn the event into a recurring success for many years to come.
Everyone is welcome to join Aarhus Pride – regardless of gender, sexual orientation, age, ethnicity, religious or political beliefs.
See you under the rainbow – on Saturday, June 1st, 2013!
The parade always takes place on foot. You are, however, allowed to bring the following:
- (electric) wheelchair
- as well as similar items.
Are you part of a group, association, club, company etc. and want to join the parade? Sign up here.
If you just want to join the parade on your own or with your friends, registration is not required.
Various sports like golf, football, petanque etc. will take place on the grass in front of Musikhuset next to Officerspladsen.
DJs plays music at the Pride Lounge, creating the perfect atmosphere for a diversity festival.
Lots of local and national LGBT associations, organizations, companies and political parties are ready with inspiration and information for the curious visitor.
Various activities take place on the small stage located centrally at Officerspladsen.
